In Q3 2011, Citi beat analyst expectations to report profits of $3.8 billion. Despite its recent growth, the stock has remain depressed for over a year&#8211;a trend that a 10-to-1 reverse split in May of this year did not change. The move was supposed to make Citigroup stock eligible for large funds, create more stock stability, and streamline management.
