How to Pay For a Private ADHD Assessment



ADHD is a common condition that can be difficult to manage. Finding a reliable diagnosis can make a big difference in your life. It is important to remember that ADHD doesn't mean you can't live a fulfilling life.

The Right to Choose scheme allows adults to have ADHD assessments to be funded by the NHS. This scheme allows patients to select any clinically-appropriate provider so long as they have a contract with the Integrated Care Board (ICBC) or NHS England.



You will be assessed either by a psychiatrist or an ADHD nurse specialist who has been trained to assess ADHD. According to the Nice guidelines, these are the only healthcare professionals in the UK who are able to diagnose ADHD.
