Internationalised Programming Challenge 9
சர்வதேசமயப்படுத்தப்பட்ட நிரலாக்க சவால் ௯
If you look at the Results Window, bottom right, you will see a number of text boxes all of which, except for the last two, have the same text which is a mixture of Hebrew and English. Above each text box there is a task for you.
When I refer to left boundary it is the (your) left hand boundary between English and Hebrew text. When I refer to the (your) right boundary it is the right side boundary between Hebrew and English text.
Come back here when you have completed all the tasks.
Confused? Without googling, try to deduce what is happening.
Thereʼs more! Change the text in the text boxes to a mixture of Arabic and English text and repeat the tasks. This is actually more challenging. I will leave you to discover why.
There are many more permutations on this theme. I encourage you to experiment. Try mixes of different languages. Add punctuation characters. Add decimal numbers ...etc...
I will not be giving my solution(s) to this challenge to anyone but I happy to guide people to solution(s) with a series of clues, one clue at a time. So, if you cannot solve this challenge, please email me or if you do not know my email address, tweet me @andreschappo or contact me on Weibo 微博 @schappo for a clue. It is my belief and personal experience that you will learn much more this way rather than me just giving you my solution(s).
