<button id="col1">1 Column</button>Second-year center Nikola Jokić came into this season with a lot hype after finishing third in Rookie of the Year voting in 2015-16 and putting on an extremely impressive display for his home country Serbia in the 2016 Olympic Games.
Well it hasn’t taken long for Jokić to not only live up to the hype, but exceed it.
The big man is averaging 12.4 points, 7.5 rebounds and 3.6 assists on 59% shooting in 30 games this season. But he has really found his groove over the last 14 games.
Jokić has scored 10+ points 12 times (20+ four times) and registered eight double-doubles in his last 14 games. He is averaging 16.7 points, 9.3 boards and 4.6 assists while shooting 66% from the field in 25.9 minutes over this span.
He has come up just shy of a triple-double two times, needing just one more assist vs. DAL on 12/19 and two rebounds away vs. MIN on 12/28. And that is one of the things that makes Nikola’s game so complete and impressive: his unselfishness and an uncanny passing ability, particularly for his size.
The Joker dished out a career-high 11 assists vs. MIN on 12/28 and has registered five-or-more helpers in nine games already. He ranks third in the NBA among 
all centers in assists per game (behind Al Horford and Marc Gasol).<div id="stuff">

He became the first Nugget center in franchise history to register 16 points, eight rebounds and 11 assists in a single game. He is the first Nugget since Fat Lever in 1988 to have 27 points, 15 rebounds and nine assists in a game. He is also one of just three players this season to post a line of 24+ points, 10+ rebounds, 4+ assists and 3+ steals in 32 minutes or less, with James Harden and Russell Westbrook being the only other two.
