Show/Hide li tag elements using jQuery Okay, to implement this feature below is the solution. First hide the "names" list (List of countries). After that write a click event on "a letter" tag, which gets called when any alphabet is clicked. Inside the click event, first fetch the text of clicked alphabet. After that loop through all the li element of "names" list. Inside the loop, check if the first letter of li element text starts with the clicked alphabet. This can be done using indexOf method. If the index is 0 then that is the element which we want to show, otherwise hide. http://www.jquerybyexample.net/2012/04/showhide-li-tag-elements-using-jquery.html
