<p><a href="http://bugs.jqueryui.com/ticket/8798">jQuery UI #8798</a> - <code>tooltip</code> causes <code>&lt;select&gt;</code> to automatically close in IE.  To recreate simply try to select an <code>&lt;option&gt;</code> in IE.</p>
